2006 FBA PRO TOUR Thursday, 31-October-2024
2006 FBA PRO TOUR

Current Points Standings | Current Points per event

FBA Pro Tour The FBA PRO TOUR is a points chase across the entire year of FBA Sanctioned Events. Competitors earn points at each event based on a multitude of factors. The most important factor being how well they did at the event. Competitors gain points from each competition no matter how well or poorly they place. The only points that count toward the PRO TOUR however are those earned in the OPEN division and PRO division of a competition. Amateur, Advanced, and Tandem points will not be calculated into the PRO TOUR standings for any competitor. The PRO TOUR Grand Champion, who simply gained the most points, will be announced at the last event of the year, but the awards ceremony will be held at the annual FBA Awards during the LEGENDS of BARTENDING event in Las Vegas every spring.

Calculating the PRO TOUR points:

Each FBA Sanctioned event has Tour Level. Many of the points in this calculation are multiplied by this Tour Level. The Tour Level is to put more weight on large events like LEGENDS and QUEST over smaller events like BEST in the WEST and BIG APPLE SHOWDOWN.

The competitors get points just for showing up and competing.

10 points x Tour Level
Example: LEGENDS = 50 points just to compete.

QUALIFIERS
Competitors earn significant points for qualifying well. The bigger the event, the more points they can earn.

2 points for each place above last in that division. If there are 30 competitors in qualifiers for that division, the competitor in 30th place gets 2 points and the competitor in 1st place gets 60 points.

FINALS
Points are earned for overall placement in the finals. Each place earns points on a sliding scale:

1st = 100 points
2nd = 90 points
3rd = 85 points
4th = 80 points
5th = 75 points
6th = 70 points
7th = 65 points
8th = 60 points
9th = 55 points
10th = 50 points
11th = 45 points
12th = 40 points
13th = 35 points
14th = 30 points
15th = 25 points
16th = 20 points
17th = 15 points
18th = 10 points
19th = 5 points
20th = 0 points

These points earned in the finals are then multiplied by the Tour Level of the event.
Example: LEGENDS 4th place = 400 points (Points earned 80 x 5 Tour Level of Legends)
Example: BITW 4th place = 240 points (Points earned 80 x 3 Tour Level of BITW)
